Bed Bath & Beyond
So you always here about the bad experiences someone has at a store, but, what about the good experiences. Here was my situation: I have a SodaStream which I happen to think is fantastic and so does the rest of my family. As of right now the only place that sells the refill for them in my area is
Bed Bath & Beyond. I purchased a refilled CO2 cartridge last month. These usually make about 60 Liters. To my surprise this one made less than 10 Liters. When you are trying to Make it on a budget 10 Liters for $15 is not a deal. There was no CO2 in the tank. I know my other tank made about 70-90 Liters.
So I check the tank it is really empty and there was nothing wrong woth my machine it said I should have 4/5 of a tank left. I frantically looked for my receipt. (I keep receipts for everything) Not this! I knew between 2 dates and the approximate time I bought it. So I called the store that I had purchased it from. Bed Bath and Beyond on Stringtown Rd in Grove City, Ohio. I spoke to a manager Randy)and explained what was going on. He was more than happy to help. His first question do you have a receipt. NO. second question Did you pay with a CC, DC or Check. No sir I pay cash for everything. I explained I knew the approximate date and time. To my surprise he said thats good its not to far back I can look that up. Told me to bring the canister in and he would take care of me.
I arrived an hour later and Randy was busy, I thought oh great now i'm going to have problems. Nope I explained the situation to the young lady at the desk she went in the back(Im quessing to either talk to Randy or to look it up) came back out said let me get you another one and apologized.
I have worked retail and we are taught to take care of the customer within reason. DONT GIVE THE STORE AWAY. They were freindly didn't argue treat me like a liar but of course they could have looked it up to. So to the associates at the Bed Bath and Beyond in Grove City Ohio, Kudos to you. Thanks for an awesome experience in a sale and a refund. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
